Terms & Conditions

Last updated: not yet published

This page is not written yet. The design file has no Terms & Conditions frame and no draft copy, so nothing has been drafted here. Commercial terms have to come from the client and their legal counsel, not from us.

What this page still needs

The sections below are the ones a Mauritian retail site of this kind normally carries. They are listed as a checklist for the client and their legal counsel: none of them have been drafted.

  • Ordering and acceptance: when a contract is formed, and what happens if an item is out of stock after an order is placed
  • Pricing and payment: currency, taxes, accepted methods, and what happens when a payment fails
  • Delivery and pickup: areas covered, timeframes, charges, and who bears the risk in transit
  • Returns, exchanges and cancellations: the window, the condition items must be in, and the treatment of made-to-order and personalised items, which are usually excluded
  • Made-to-order and personalisation: lead times, approval of personalisation text, and what happens if the customer supplies a spelling error
  • Warranties and defects: what is covered on furniture, for how long, and how a claim is made
  • Liability: the limits the client wishes to set, subject to what Mauritian consumer law permits
  • Governing law: confirmation that Mauritian law applies and where disputes are heard

Placeholder: Ask the client for their Terms & Conditions, or for approval to commission them. Until this page exists, the footer link leads here, which is honest, but it should not go live in this state.
